Land Acknowledgment 

We acknowledge that the Humboldt Grace and all associated research and community collaborations have taken place on the unceded ancestral lands of the Wiyot, Hupa, Karuk, and Yurok peoples, who have stewarded these lands since time immemorial. We also acknowledge that for generations trespass cannabis grows have harmed their ancestral lands and polluted the wildlife and waters these indigenous people depend on.

We honor the original and ongoing caretakers of this land and acknowledge their deep spiritual, cultural, and ecological relationship with the land. These communities have endured generations of displacement, erasure, and harm—yet their strength, resilience, and cultural contributions remain a vital thread in the story of Humboldt County.

As we work to elevate and preserve cannabis heritage, we recognize that this work is only meaningful when grounded in truth, inclusion, and justice. We commit to honoring the indigenous knowledge systems that taught the back to landers, supporting efforts for land repatriation and sovereignty, and co-creating pathways of healing, equity, and shared stewardship.

We extend our deepest respect to elders past, present, and emerging, and to the indigenous communities whose land and traditions continue to shape this region and our collective future. We recognize that we are all caretakers of this Earth. Honoring the land means embracing our responsibility to protect it. With one Earth to sustain us all, we must commit to cultivating responsibly through sustainable cultivation practices that nurture the soil, water, and other ecosystems for generations to come.
